Developer docs
Everything you — or your AI agent — need to send email with MailWarren and read the email your app sends.
Guides
| Send API & SMTP | Send transactional email from your verified domain over HTTPS or the SMTP relay. Attachments, inline images (Content-ID), and the sandbox endpoint that captures instead of delivering. |
|---|---|
| Test automation & AI agents | Read captured email from CI tests and agents: wait for an email, get its verification code and links, run the pre-send checks. JavaScript, Python and .NET SDKs, the REST inbox API, and the MCP server. |
For AI agents and tools
MailWarren's API is described in machine-readable form, so an AI coding agent can work out how to use it without a person
copying docs across. Point your agent at www.mailwarren.io/llms.txt — or give it any of these:
/llms.txt | A short index of the docs, following the llms.txt convention. |
|---|---|
/llms-full.txt | The whole API reference on one plain-text Markdown page: every endpoint, field, response, error and limit. |
/openapi.json | An OpenAPI 3.1 description of the Send, Sandbox and Inbox APIs — import it into Postman, an API client generator, or an agent's tool list. |
| MCP server | https://api.mailwarren.io/gateway/5d1da8dd-9504-4297-9bd3-8dfc3fc90faf/Prod/mailwarren/v1/mcp — agents that speak the Model Context Protocol get ready-made tools to find, wait for, read and check email. How to connect. |
The basics
- API base URL:
https://api.mailwarren.io/gateway/5d1da8dd-9504-4297-9bd3-8dfc3fc90faf/Prod/mailwarren/v1 - Every request sends a key as
Authorization: Bearer …. Keys are created in the app after you sign up: a send key (mw_live_…) on Sending Domains, a mailbox key (mw_sandbox_…) on a mailbox's page, and an account key (mw_mcp_…) under Account → MCP keys. - Plans and their API limits are public JSON too:
GET /plans.
