Acceptable Use Policy
This policy forms part of the Terms of Service. It keeps MailWarren safe and our sending reputation intact for everyone. "You" includes anyone who uses your account, keys or applications.
1. What you must not do
- Spam. Send unsolicited or bulk email, or email to people who haven't consented, or to purchased or scraped lists.
- Deceive. Send phishing, scams or fraud; impersonate a person, brand or organisation; forge or disguise the sender, or hide who you are.
- Harm. Distribute malware, exploit code or harmful links; harass, threaten or defame anyone; or send content that is unlawful, abusive or sexually exploits or endangers children.
- Infringe. Send content that infringes copyright, trade marks or other rights, or that you have no right to send.
- Misuse the sandbox. Use MailWarren to store or relay real production email, as a general-purpose mail server, or to hold sensitive data such as payment card numbers, health records or government ID numbers.
- Attack or overload. Probe, scan or test the service's security without our written permission, interfere with it, or go around its limits, quotas or plans (for example by creating multiple accounts to avoid a limit).
- Abuse access. Share or publish your keys and credentials, access another person's account or data, or use automation to create accounts.
- Break the law. Use the service in a way that breaks any law that applies to you, us or your recipients.
2. Rules for sending real email
- Send only from domains you own or control and have verified, and only to recipients you have a lawful basis to email.
- Identify yourself accurately as the sender, and include a working unsubscribe or opt-out in any commercial or bulk message. Comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Australia), CAN-SPAM (US), GDPR/PECR (EU/UK) and similar laws.
- Keep bounces and spam complaints low. We monitor them, and high rates put your ability to send at risk.
- You must comply with the AWS Acceptable Use Policy and the AWS Service Terms as they apply to Amazon SES, because we send through it.
- Transactional and product email is fine. Marketing or cold outreach isn't what MailWarren's sending is for.
3. How we enforce it
We may review your first messages, apply or lower sending limits, hold or remove content, pause sending, suspend or terminate an account, and report unlawful activity to the authorities. Where practical we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem, but we may act immediately where there is serious abuse or risk. We aren't obliged to monitor the service and don't promise to catch every breach.
4. Reporting abuse
If you've received abusive email sent through MailWarren or found a security problem, please write to support@mailwarren.io with as much detail as you can (including the full message headers). Please give us reasonable time to fix a vulnerability before you disclose it publicly.
